Our leadership reflects the community it serves, starting with Mr. Charles, our CEO and founder. Growing up, Charles’ life mirrored the environments of many of our participants. He experienced negativity and destructive decision-making that often led to disempowered individuals, and a disempowered community. But from an early age, Charles was determined to live life differently – and his life is a testament to those efforts.

Now, after giving many people from his community a chance by working with and for him, he’s turned to Building a Better You, and the work of providing young people the opportunity to create their own path to success. He knows, at the core of his being, that young people can change their stories and trajectories if given the chance.
